A multimedia journalist with more than 15 years of experience in production for leading international news networks from occupied Palestine.
I have a passion for news, an eye for features, a drive for research, I pay attention to details and I’ve got skills to assure excellent reporting.
I hold an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Birzeit University in Ramallah and two graduate degrees – one in Democracy and Human Rights from Birzeit University, with a thesis entitled: “Refugees at Home: Which Protection System for the Internally Displaced?” and another in Journalism from Columbia University in New York.
Arabic is my mother-language, I have excellent command of English and good knowledge of German. I have an extensive knowledge of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and good understanding of Middle East politics. I consider myself a social media evangelist, yet an old-school field producer who connects with people, can film and edit.
I am a member of the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate in Jerusalem and the Foreign Press Association in Tel Aviv.
I live in Ramallah with my husband, Asem Khalil, and our two boys; Faris and Sari.
